Slacking

Ah the easy breezy twos....Yes you heard me right, and I know Ive been slacking. But, me and J have gotten into a routine. Get up, take 45 minutes eating breakfast (how did I have such a slow-poke son? Oh, that's right, his father) watch t.v. while eating, go to the gym, come home, eat a 30 minute lunch (he gets a bit quicker through out the day) take a 3 hour nap (ah, pure bliss), get up, have a 10-minute dinner, dance and run around and then bedtime.

I have heard people talk about the terrible two's, but so far we haven't seen to much of them. I am not saying my day of reckoning is not coming, I know that it is, only that I have been incredibly lucky so far. J is a happy little dude most of the time. His favorite activity as of late is running from us, this will keep him entertained for hours, which is surprising given the small nature of our house. But he will run from one room to the next screaming "Get you, Get you" and laughing.

J is a crazy chatterbox and some days I feel like I am stuck with a parrot. He will literally repeat something over and over again until he gets the desired response. He is also at a stage where he gives things "cute" names. Spider-Man is "flying man", Master Chief (a Halo reference as I am a xbox widow) is "guy guy". That sort of thing.

This kid also has a crazy good memory. He knows all the spots in town that serve ice cream, and calls them out as we pass them by. After going to his Aunt and Uncle's house once, he knows when we get close.

J has turned into a little cuddler, which is awesome. Sometimes while I am playing on the computer he will climb up on my lap and snuggle his head into my shoulder. It's times like those I hope to be able to recall when the throes of the teenage angst years hit (I'm hoping those skip our house, but somehow I doubt that).

Like I said before, we've gotten into a total groove but I know that one day I will wake up and wonder where my sweet two year old went and why is this monstrous three year old in his place?
