New Years baby...

Jackson is definitely becoming more mobile. He has become quite the cruiser. He will do laps around the table as long as we'll let him.

He is getting very close to figuring out how to crawl as well. A modified crawl, but a crawl none the less. I imagine Jackson will be crawling within a week.

Jackson's favorite toys are pretty much anything that isn't a toy. The remote, coasters, shoes. He's kind of a freak about shoes and feet and toes. If I have my shoes off he will sit and watch my feet and eventually go for my toes. Sometimes he wants to chew on them, sometimes he just wants to hold on to them.

He has also started babbling up a storm. This morning he started saying "dada". "dada, daaaaaadaaaa, dadadadadada". The other thing Jackson likes to say is "gooey". So, his conversations go a little something like : "Aaaa dada daaaaaaaaadeeeeeeeeeee gooey gooey *pbbbblpt* (that's him blowing a raspberry) a ba ba ba ba *pbbbblpt*"

He is eating more solids now. We've thrown caution to the wind on spacing out different foods. He has fruit or veggies in the morning. Then around lunch time Jackson sits in his high chair and messes around with some finger foods for awhile, usually green beans or carrots. Then for dinner he has some oatmeal. There are also puffs thrown in there sporadically.

We're working on getting Jackson to sleep a little better. He used to sleep really well. But then there were a couple of rough weeks, with him being sick, and teething. We got into the habit of snuggling together on the couch all night. So now that we want him to sleep in his crib again, he isn't thrilled with that arraingment. Slowly, we are getting there. Shawn has been really successful at getting him to sleep lately. Which has been a nice relief for me. However, to completely throw a wrench in everything, he is teething, so tonight he has been up every hour.
